Preparing for corporate Worship - Sunday, September 24, 2023
Services at 9:30 AM and 5:00 PM
Dear Friends,
Each new day is a reminder that God has not stopped preserving us. May all the praise go to Him!
Our entire life is a preparation for the New Heavens and the New Earth. Nothing resembles that more than the Lord's day. I pray you have had a good week and are preparing for heaven by being ready for Sunday worship.
-------------
As we gather on the Lord's day in the morning we will return to our study of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ as recorded by Mark. We are at Mark 12.1-12, which is a very important parable of the Lord. We will consider the teaching of the parable with several applications, and then ask the question whether we have heard. There is help for us in this text.
--------------
Scripture Reading: Mark 12.1-12
Text: Mark 12.1-12
Message: “God’s Passion; Man’s Poison”
---------------
In the evening we return to the truth of Scripture as summarized in the Canons of Dort. Our text will be Philippians 1.6 and we will be helped by Canons 5.1. This fifth section of the Canons is incredibly pastoral and is exactly what the church needs in these troubled times.
-----------------------------------
Scripture Reading: Philippians 1.1-11
Confessional Reading: Canons of Dort 5.1
Text: Philippians 1.6
Sermon: “God’s Ongoing Work”
---------------
Please return for the evening service and then consider staying afterward for our monthly prayer meeting.
Please pray now for the AM & PM worship services!
Above all, please pray to the Lord of the church for His mercy to our congregation as we 'press on' by faith!
Please pray for all these things - a blessed evening tonight and a grand Lord's day upcoming.
As always, please pray for our benefit as God is glorified in corporate worship.
May the Lord richly bless each of you today and toward the Lord's day upcoming.
Thank you each for your love and encouragement of late. Let's trust the Lord and press ahead being guided by Him as He employs His means of grace in our midst.
---------------
Thank you for the prayers and encouragement while we were away. Yet is it always best to return home. Sunday, we will be "home" with you in corporate worship. What a blessing it will be.
Please pray for a wonderful day together in God's house.
Pray that the Lord will glorify His own Name and that we would be richly blessed.
There is no better place to be on Sunday!
