Preparing for corporate worship August 07, 2022
Greetings, Friends!
How was your week? In what ways has the Lord been at work in your life? It is the deepest blessing to know that Jesus Christ is our complete and perfect Savior! He is faithful and merciful as He leads us to love Him and serve Him.
His saving and leading will bring us to worship Him together in His house this Lord's day!
In the morning we will come to the wonderful little New Testament book of Philemon. In this important letter of the Apostle Paul we will see a glorious picture of what it means to be willing and ready to forgive one another as Christ has forgiven us. This deeply pastoral letter is incredibly important - may the Lord bless us from Philemon.
In the evening we come to Revelation 20.7-9 and Canons of Dort 5.1-3. God teaches us in His Word that one of the first things that will happen when Christ's return is beginning is that Satan will be unchained and set free for a short season. This "little season" will be a terrible time, but the final victory belongs to our Savior and King! Come Sunday night for this important truth.
I pray that each of you are safe and joyful in Christ in these days.
